About the role

The current position advertised is for an experienced Industrial / electrician (Leading Hand) to join our growing team for work around Ipswich and Brisbane.

Lead and supervise electrical teams on site to ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and in compliance with safety regulations

Undertake electrical installations across a range of industrial & commercial projects

Interpret technical drawings and specifications to plan and execute work efficiently

Provide on-site training and mentoring to junior electricians to develop their skills

Liaise with clients, project managers and other contractors to coordinate work schedules and resolve any issues

Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used

Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and safety procedures

To be considered for this role, you will need:

Qualified electrician with a minimum of 4 years' post-apprenticeship experience, including at least 2 years in a leading hand or supervisory role

Thorough understanding of electrical theory, installations, maintenance and testing procedures

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Commitment to safety and a track record of creating a safe working environment

Current Queensland electrical license and construction industry white card

Skills and experience

Current Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanic licence

Current drivers licence (Manual)

Current construction industry white card

Ability to travel when required with LAHA allowances

A thorough understanding of AS/NZS 3000 and other relevant standards
