About the role
The purpose of the Manager Campaigns is to lead and manage the National road safety campaigns in a way which enhances the organisation’s brand as a safety regulator through engagement and influence with a broad range of community, industry and key stakeholders to ultimately change driver behaviour to keep all road users safe.
Key responsibilities of this role are:
- Lead, develop and implement road safety campaign strategies that lead to increased engagement and meet NHVR strategic objectives and direction.
- Provide high-level, strategic advice to the Executive Director Corporate Affairs on strategic campaign direction intent, engagement and media associated to the campaign.
- Lead and implement corporate and industry partnership to capitalise on road safety campaign reach, influence and impact.
- Lead and manage external marketing agencies including content and production of large scale national based road safety campaigns.
- Provide high-level, strategic advice to the Executive Director Corporate Affairs on global road safety campaign, media and engagement trends, including market analysis of proven methodologies used to change driver behaviour.
- Manage the provision of expert and timely communication and advice in campaign related issues impacting on the political and operational environment.

About You
To be successful in this role you will possess
- Extensive media and/or communications experience with a minimum of five years in a similar role.
- Extensive experience in developing, managing and implementing innovative proactive and reactive campaigns including media strategies and plans.
- Demonstrated high level knowledge and leadership skills in campaign, communications and media management at a senior level.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic communication development and stakeholder management, within a complex environment.
- Demonstrated a high-level communication skills including written and verbal with extensive interpersonal skills including presentation and negotiation
- Demonstrated experience with leading a small team.
