- Maximum Term Contract until 18 December 2026 (with possible ongoing role)
- Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am - 3:30pm
- Salary: $98,667 pa (pro rata) + super
- Location: Croydon, Ringwood and offsite requirements
Maroondah City Council is seeking a passionate, experienced and community minded professional to complement the existing Youth and Children's Services Team.
Are you a passionate and experienced leader in the early childhood sector? We are seeking an exceptional Early Childhood Teacher to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children, families and the broader community within Maroondah.
The service is a registered long day care centre licensed for 38 children in a multi-age setting and operates 48 weeks per year. Currently the service is capped at 23 and we are excited to transition to higher numbers with the addition of this role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, coaching and fostering the growth of a team of dedicated Early Years Professionals to ensure organisational values and a positive team culture are embedded into the service.
Our service is very community focussed. We have embedded community programs such GenConnect where seniors within the community work at the service in a volunteer capacity, providing the children and the seniors a true intergenerational experience.
Applicants must have excellent leadership and people skills. This includes the responsibility for the care, safety, wellbeing, and education of all children. It is essential that you have strong understanding of inclusive educational programs for children between 0-5, which meets legislative requirements and funding guidelines.
Minimum Early Childhood Teacher qualification required.

Maroondah City Council was constituted as a new municipality on 15 December 1994. The City of Maroondah is made up of three wards, with each ward represented by three Councillors.
