Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Lead the in-house development of accessible and inclusive resources to support sector understanding of behaviour support and the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices and quality practice.
Resources may include but not limited to:
o videos, easy read guides and PowerPoint presentations representing key aspects of Practice Quality to support regulatory priorities externally and internally.
• Coordinate and deliver direct sector engagement related to behaviour support and restrictive practices within a NDIS context. This includes:
o liaison with key external and internal stakeholders;
o developing presentations in consultation with subject matter experts; and
o supporting the delivery of presentations and co-presenting.
• Support the team and division with day-to-day administrative work including engagement request management, inbox management, and review of Standard Operating Procedures to maximise efficiencies across the NDIS Commission and maintain consistency with NDIS Commission guidelines.
The occupant of the position should:
• Have a positive and contemporary attitude to people with disability, ideally with lived experience.
• Demonstrate understanding of and experience producing accessible content and presentations to support diverse physical, cognitive and learning needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience producing education resources and presentations that are engaging and effective at translating complex knowledge for a diverse adult audience.
• Have a proven ability to manage projects, making use of individual and team capabilities to see projects through to completion, while following procedures and ensuring effective consultation.
Other requirements
• Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite highly regarded.
• Experience with in-house knowledge translation and resource development within a regulatory environment, disability sector or allied health sector highly regarded.
• Be adaptable and flexible and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Be willing to provide administrative support within a small team, including supporting event planning, triaging queries, and developing internal policies and procedures to embed effective practices.
