About the role

Seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our dynamic team at Unity Living. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized care and assistance to older adults and individuals with disabilities in the Ballarat area. What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping

Assisting clients with access to the community with transportation and economic participation activities

Providing companionship and engaging clients in recreational activities to promote their wellbeing

Advocating for client needs and collaborating with the care team to ensure comprehensive support

Maintaining accurate client records and documentation

Adhering to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or a similar caregiving role

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with clients

Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Current First Aid and CPR certification (or a willingness to obtain)

A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
