Position Summary:
The Sales & Marketing Associate is a predominately field-based role, responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with caravan manufacturers, dealerships, and service agents. This role involves travelling to client sites, presenting product solutions, supporting after-sales enquiries, and identifying new business opportunities in the caravan industry. The position plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and promoting a positive brand experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Engagement
· Conduct regular face-to-face visits with caravan manufacturers, service agents, and dealerships
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities
· Deliver tailored product demonstrations and technical support during customer visits
· Generate quotes, follow up on leads, and process orders
· Provide post-sale support and maintain long-term relationships
· Attend trade shows, expos, and promotional events as a brand representative
Marketing & Product Education
· Collaborate with management on developing marketing strategies and promotional campaigns
· Assist in the creation of product brochures, user guides, sales flyers, and digital content
· Provide feedback on product reception, customer needs, and content effectiveness
· Support the preparation and distribution of educational materials
· Contribute to social media content ideas and overall marketing initiatives
Sales Strategy & Reporting
· Contribute to sales planning by identifying growth opportunities and monitoring competitor activity
· Report regularly on sales performance, customer interactions, and pipeline development
· Help set and achieve sales targets in line with business objectives
· Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and ensure all customer data is up to date
Skills and Qualifications:
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Results-driven with a proactive and self-managed approach
· Comfortable explaining technical products and installation processes
· Creative thinker with a keen eye for marketing opportunities
· Highly organised with strong follow-up and reporting capabilities
· Confident using digital tools (CRM, Office Suite, online content platforms)
· Semi-skilled in mechanical and electrical principles
· Strong desire to learn and grow within a dynamic, growing business
· Experience in website management and familiarity with Xero software (highly desirable)
· Knowledge of procurement and product sourcing (advantageous)
Education and Experience:
· High school certificate required; technical or vocational training preferred
· Experience in a similar role within a technical, sales, or caravan-related industry is advantageous
· Valid manual driver’s licence (essential)
· Willingness to travel across states/regions (some overnight stays required)
