We are seeking an experienced restaurant manager to join the team at our renowned Japanese fine dining restaurant, Takashiya. Takashiya has been awarded an AGFG Chef Hat for 2025 and is the Gold winner of 2024 National Awards for Excellence. This is a full-time position.

What you'll be doing

Managing the day to day running of the restaurant

Managing recipes in system for cost and stock control

Taking reservations and communicate with customers

Providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests

Taking orders, making alcohol recommendations to guests

Doing stock take and stock ordering

Managing roster and timesheet hours

Managing end-of-night reporting

What we're looking for

Must have restaurant manager experience (fine dining restaurant is preferred)

Must have a valid full time working visa

Must speak good English (Japanese speaking is preferred)

Must have good knowledge of Japanese Sake and Japanese Whisky

Commitment to high quality and be consistent

Hold a current RSA

Reliable and hardworking

Passionate about Japanese culture and cuisine

Share your skills and experience with other team members

Benefits are:

$80,000 per year + super + tips share
