Opportunity is now for a Bus Driver / Child Care Educator and or Cook to join our team at our centre’s at Upper Coomera or Pimpama on the Gold Coast, working Monday to Friday, to transport the children between the centre and School in the mornings and afternoons, excursion programs, and would be preferred to also be available to work as the Lead Educator for OSHC children program. Or a 2nd option to work as Bus Driver for morning and afternoon bus run and also qualified educator float to cover lunch breaks and/or kitchen / cook position between bus runs. Full day Shift option or a Split shift option are considered based on the applicant & qualifications held.

The ideal applicant must have:

- Certificate 3 in Community Services / Children Services, or higher qualification, for example Diploma in ECEC.

- Current First Aid/CPR, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis trained & Certificate.

- Current Working with Children Check. (Blue Card)

- Open Class Australian Drivers License

- Clean Driving History

- Driving History Check

- Knowledge of child restraint requirements for children

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and the wider community

- Enthusiastic & positive attitude

- Desire and willingness to learn attitude

- Possess excellent time management skills.

- Ability to follow direction & uphold safety regulations

- A passion for providing the highest quality care and education to children

- Must have the right to live and work in this location

The ideal applicant preferred to have:

- Currently holding or working towards a Diploma in ECEC ( Early Childhood Education and Care) qualification.

- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the childcare industry

- Experience and knowledge of Regulations / The National Quality Framework but not essential

- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Duties include -

- Driving and ensuring the bus is well maintained

- Transportation of young and school aged children.

- Representing the company in the community

- Following, implementing and completing tasks set out in the company policies and procedures

- Work in collaboration with the Centre Manager, Team and Management to deliver the mission and vision of the company.
