Experienced Diesel Mechanic – Kenworth Trucks & Mobile Plant

Outstanding opportunity! Join an emerging civil construction industry leader, based in Western Sydney, with a strong presence in the delivery of infrastructure and earthworks projects.

A highly experienced Diesel Mechanic is sought to focus on the maintenance and service a growing fleet of Kenworth trucks.
The position will also support service and maintenance on a range of other heavy vehicles including mobile plant.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed and skilled tradesperson, to join a well established and growing company, in a supported and valued, in-house position, with an emphasis on safety, quality, and reliability, not quantity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, service, and maintain a fleet of Kenworth / Isuzu trucks, and other heavy diesel mobile plant and equipment.
• Carry out emergency breakdown repairs.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify faults.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Identify and purchase necessary parts and equipment.

Skills, experience, and qualities include:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a diesel mechanic.
• A strong background working on Kenworth / Isuzu trucks is highly regarded
• Relevant trade qualification – Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Experience with fault-finding and using modern diagnostic tools.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
• Valid driver’s licence – HR or HC licence highly regarded.
