About the Company
Davidson is working with a state government client who is seeking an experiences Business Analyst with financial governance experience.
About the Role
As Business Analyst you will be accountable for reviewing and ensuring adherence to the department's financial governance framework in the execution of financial activities and provide support to stakeholders experiencing difficulties in meeting their financial compliance obligations. Utilise your digital and automation skills to build and maintain a Finance knowledge repository including training materials and process maps, and coordinate reviews to ensure currency. You will also play a pivotal role in the digitisation of the department's finance practices via designing online workflows to replace manual processes and forms.
This is a diverse role consisting of three aspects.
1. Financial compliance monitoring and reporting.
2. Training database build, and maintenance process design.
3. Process digitisation using Power Platform.
· Conduct financial governance and compliance tasks including:
o Small business on-time payment analysis and reporting
o Business Integrity Screening - analysis of financial activities
o Customer and vendor master data approvals and integrity checks
o Corporate card reporting on use, compliance and education
o Gifts and Benefits reporting and provide advice
o Assisting with financial policy updates
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and policies to support effective customer service and provide advice.
· Identify and resolve errors in financial transactions and master data.
· Liaise and consult with stakeholders regarding issues arising on an ad hoc basis and resolve in a timely manner.
· Support the collection and preparation of financial information as required for incorporation into reports for consideration by senior departmental management.
· Build and maintain a Finance knowledge database including training materials and process maps. Assist with updating training material, managing training enrolments and capability uplift.
· Proactively identify improvement opportunities and promote innovation. Design and implement automated workflows to replace manual processes/forms.
· Other duties as directed and required.

· If, you have a Blue Card or can obtain one if successful.
· This role will encounter sensitive and confidential information.
· SAP S4/HANA knowledge and Power Platform skills are highly regarded.
· Public sector knowledge not essential.
The Benefits
· $68.22 to $73.99 per hour + Super (PAYG Agency Contractor)
· 3-month contract, possible extension
· Brisbane, CBD
· Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
