Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the loan processing team, currently comprising settlement officers and support staff.
• Oversee end-to-end settlement operations from conditional approval to final drawdown ensuring deadlines, compliance, and lender interactions are flawless.
• Design and execute process improvements to enhance accuracy, productivity, and customer outcomes.
• Collaborate with Brokers, Credit Specialists, Conveyancers, and internal Review teams to deliver exceptional client experiences.
• Implement performance metrics, reporting dashboards, and regular reviews to monitor team effectiveness and service levels.
• Act as escalation point for complex financing matters or settlement issues.

About you:

• Proven experience managing a settlement or operations team in mortgage broking or banking.
• Deep knowledge of the mortgage settlement process, compliance requirements, agency systems, and lender portals.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong cross functional relationships and execute high quality outcomes under pressure.
• A leader with strong operational mindset, analytical skills, and capacity to refine processes for scale.
• Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and proactive problem-solving ability.
