An exciting opportunity has arisen exclusively with our client Advanced Fresh Concepts, who are seeking a Food Safety Specialist to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This newly created role, established due to ongoing company growth, is based in Melbourne and will see you travelling between the CBD, Geelong, Ocean Grove, and the Mornington Peninsula.

You’ll be responsible for conducting internal GMP audits and facilitating external third-party audits across a network of outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and adhere to GMP Audit schedule
• Conduct regular GMP audits of the food kiosks
• Forward reports and NCR’s to Quality Team and Franchisee in a timely manner
• Conduct re-training as a result of any non-conformances raised
• Close out non-conformances by re-visiting the food kiosks and assessing staff for compliance
• Conduct 6 monthly environmental swabbing of food kiosks
• Ensure results are within specification
• Conduct internal investigations based on customer complaints
• Conduct induction training for all new Franchisees in the company’s Food Safety Program

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

The successful candidate will need to hold a current driver’s licence, have access to a reliable vehicle, and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Food Technology or Science related degree are highly desired
• Demonstrated auditing skills and experience
• Ability to work unsupervised and exercise independence to problem solve and make decisions
• Sound knowledge and understanding of HACCP, GMP principles and retailer standards
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise and work effectively under tight deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication style for all levels of the business
