About you:

ECT qualification or equivalent qualification

Current Working with Children Check

Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes: NQS, QKLG and EYLF

Understanding of the Montessori philosophy (or working towards)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment

Strong understanding of the importance of family communications

Commitment to the holistic development of your class

Why work in a Montessori environment?

Unlike play-based childcare centres and preschools, the Montessori framework nurtures the uniqueness of each child and provides an early learning experience that prepares them, not only for school, but for life – being, belonging, becoming.

In a Montessori classroom, educators serve as a link between the Prepared Environment and the children. Their role is to observe the children and guide them in their own unique learning process, to help them develop a life-long love of learning. Activities and learning experiences are implemented to suit each child’s current interests, needs and stage of development, to allow them to learn at their own pace. The educator-child relationship is based on trust and respect, which creates a positive learning environment where children feel safe, valued, and supported in their learning journey.
