All of our team have been with us for a minimum of one year, with one educator having been with us since we opened, and others with us for three years or more.

The Role

We’re seeking a passionate and driven Early Childhood Teacher to join our leadership team. We are open to a flexible roster as long as the core program hours for the kindergarten program are delivered for four days. Our current ECTs each have a rostered day off to support work life balance and foster a sense of wellbeing.

As part of your role, you will:

Have a clear understanding of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines

Demonstrate children’s individual learning and development through observations in portfolios

Visually display a programming cycle with clear links to the Queensland Kindergarten Guidelines

Share the rooms daily activities with parents via Qikkids

Critically reflect on your practices referring to the EYLF, Queensland Kindy Guidelines, relevant theory and literature to ensure you are growing as an educator, setting and achieving goals

Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required legally including ratio checklists, cleaning checklists, room routines, programming requirements

Plan, prepare and deliver activities that facilitate active learning experiences

Provide opportunity for children to have input in their program

Prepare children for school by providing developmentally appropriate opportunities to experience literacy and numeracy through play

Key Responsibilities

Encourage self help skills and independence in children

Engage in activities with children

Communicate clearly with parents

Role model respect for others and the physical environment including resources

Provide a clean, safe, organised, visually aesthetic learning environment for children

Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities both indoors and outdoors

Champion high-quality educational programs and streamline documentation practices.

Maintain a positive team culture, contributing to ongoing staff wellbeing and cohesion.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor of Early Childhood or ACECQA approved equivalent.

Diploma qualified with extensive experience, enrolled in Bachelor of Early Years.

Bachelor of Primary Teacher with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).

Child Protection Training (CHCPRT001 or CHCPRT025).

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification.
