HEAD CHEF
YOU MUST ALREADY BE IN AUSTRALIA TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS POSITION
We are looking for a Head Chef for a busy pub in Tamworth NSW.
Tamworth is amazing town to live in the heart of Nth West NSW. Close enough to the coast, big enough to have everything one needs but small enough to be friendly, warm and accommodating.
The menu focuses on using quality ingredients and doing the simple things well. The team is tight and accommodating.
The business is family operated with hands on owners.
This is a senior hands-on kitchen role.
This role reports to the Licensee/General Manager.
Responsibilities include:
Manage all aspects of kitchen operations
Dish and plating design, recipe creation
Rostering and operational management of kitchen staff
Stock control
Ordering and supplier negotiation
Kitchen profitability analysis, margin, financial and operational reporting
Stocktaking of kitchen items and kitchen inventory management
Maintain an organised, clean and hygienic work environment
Keep abreast of current and emerging trends in food
Ensure that Occupational Health and Safety and Food Safety Standards are followed at all times
Skills needed for this role:
Minimum 2-3 experience in a senior role in a busy Australian pub
Recognised chef qualification
Strong organization skills and excellent cooking skills;
Food and Beverage culinary management experience with demonstrated leadership
Understanding of and the ability to maintain food safety standards and HACCP
Demonstrated ability in planning, resourcing and controlling expenses
Knowledge of movement regulations and safety standards
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Eye for detail
