We’re on the hunt for a passionate, driven, and creative Head Chef to lead the kitchen at The Wine Bar at The International, located in the heart of Sydney’s Martin Place.

About the Role:
As Head Chef, you'll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the kitchen, delivering exceptional food aligned with our carefully curated wine and beverage offering. Working closely with our management and front-of-house teams, you’ll set the culinary tone and lead with energy, excellence, and efficiency.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading a tight-knit, highly efficient kitchen team with confidence and care
- Designing and delivering seasonal menus, special event menus, and dishes that hero quality ingredients
- Curating food offerings that complement our wine list and beverage selection
- Overseeing all aspects of kitchen management: ordering, stock control, rostering, wage cost management etc
- Building strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and consistency
- Fostering a positive, people-first team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and development
About You:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, quality-driven venue
- A creative and considered approach to menu design and execution
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and motivating your team
- Exceptional time management and communication skills
- A positive attitude, team-first mindset, and genuine love for great food and service
