About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Solution Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering transformative data solutions for a major financial institution. The role sits at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and solution architecture, and involves designing and implementing end-to-end data pipelines—from ingestion and transformation to consumption. You’ll work with modern data platforms, cloud technologies, and big data ecosystems, contributing to strategic initiatives that shape the future of data in financial services.

The Successful Candidate

You are a passionate and driven data professional with:

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering and solution delivery
• 3+ years working within financial services, ideally banking
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python, PySpark, Hadoop, and Unix/Linux
• Proven ability to design and present data architectures in large forums
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and big data analytics
• Excellent communication skills—able to engage stakeholders and articulate complex ideas clearly
• A collaborative mindset, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments

Preferred credentials include tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or Engineering, and familiarity with data modelling, Atlassian tools, and data mesh principles.
