About the Role

As the Technology and Growth Education Specialist at TAFE Gippsland, you’ll lead the design, development and delivery of innovative, technology-driven education products. Reporting to the General Manager Product and Innovation, this role focuses on integrating emerging technologies, especially AI into teaching and learning practices, creating transformative pedagogies and student experiences. You’ll work closely with teaching teams to incubate and scale new products, support strategic planning, and ensure quality, compliance, and impact. If you're passionate about educational technology, innovation, and driving change in the VET sector, this is a unique opportunity to shape the future of learning at TAFE Gippsland.

Your Experience and Qualifications

You’ll have a degree in Education, Information technology, or a related field. Proven experience in developing, delivering, and embedding new technologies within a VET or TAFE setting is essential, along with a strong understanding of vocational education frameworks, policies, and standards. You should have expertise in applying emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance teaching, learning, and product development. Experience managing educational technology projects from start to finish, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently are also key. A proactive, strategic approach and a strong track record of driving innovation and change will help you succeed in this role. A relevant qualification in education or training, such as the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent is desirable.
