About the Role
As the Senior People and Culture Advisor, you’ll serve as a trusted partner to leaders across the organisation, applying your HR expertise to shape positive workplace outcomes and support continuous improvement.
This 6 month temporary role (with potential for extension) offers a mix of strategic and operational responsibilities, allowing you to influence cultural change, develop and implement policies, and lead people-focused initiatives. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring and guiding a People and Culture Officer.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to broaden their strategic HR experience in a values-led, people-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice across a wide range of HR matters including performance, development, and policy implementation;
- Lead the review, development, and implementation of HR policies and procedures;
- Manage complex employee matters with confidence, including case management and issue resolution;
- Partner with leaders and employees to build strong, trusted relationships;
- Support recruitment, selection, workforce planning, and change management; and
- Deliver People and Culture projects and contribute to strategic and operational initiatives.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated HR professional who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You’re someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, brings a collaborative mindset, and is passionate about building great workplace culture.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end HR services;
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify complex concepts;
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong sense of integrity;
- Working knowledge of HR legislation, public sector frameworks, and contemporary HR practices; and
- Relevant qualifications and/or 4+ years’ experience in HR, employee relations or a related discipline.
