  • Location: Parramatta with flexible working arrangements available across NSW Department of Education offices.

  • Competitive remuneration ranging from $149,739 to $173,174 plus super & annual leave loading.

The Manager ICT Procurement Coordinator oversees procurement services, including planning, sourcing, contract, and risk management, to ensure value for money while adhering to business needs and government directives.

Key responsibilities include coordinating the ICT procurement pipeline across the Information Technology Directorate and non-ITD divisions, developing policies and procedures for efficient outcomes, and creating procurement plans that enhance stakeholder engagement.

The role also involves end-to-end sourcing, partnering with stakeholders to implement innovative supply strategies, and providing expert advice to promote innovative practices. Additionally, the Coordinator leads procurement teams, applies governance frameworks for compliance and performance improvement, manages organisational demand, and develops strategies to enhance procurement capabilities in a complex legislative and supply market environment.

About you

  • Lead, engage and drive a high performing team to deliver compliant and effective procurement outcomes.
  • Extensive knowledge of, and recent experience in, procurement (sourcing), category or commercial management.
  • Analyse and implement changes to improve the experience for all stakeholders.
  • Your communication skills and capacity to influence and build relationships with team members and stakeholder will be first-class.
  • Ability to work with a team and autonomously.
  • Demonstrated initiative, analytical, and problem-solving skills and proven ability to initiate and participate in business improvement activities.
  • Committed to innovation and continual service improvements and looking for opportunities to streamline and improve processes with a focus on service delivery.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
  • A valid Workign with Children Check for paid employment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

This option would allow the WWCC to naturally expire without further communication needed with the employee. The employer obligations under the WWCC would apply for duration of the WWCC's validity (up to 5 years)
