About the position:
The Senior Manager, People and Capability leads the formulation, development and maintenance of a people focus across the Parliament and has oversight of key HR functions including recruitment, workforce planning, performance management, payroll and leave management, and the people experience and capability function. The role holder develops initiatives and programs to ensure that services are aligned with the Parliament's strategic priorities.

Based in NSW Parliament, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of the Parliament of NSW by providing logistical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales. Our office is found close to public transport in the heart of Macquarie Street CBD, next to the State Library and Sydney’s Botanic Gardens.

About you:
We are looking for a confident people manager with demonstrated communication skills and the ability to lead a multi-functional HR team. Expertise in one or more specialist areas of payroll, recruitment, workforce planning, or learning and development will be highly regarded. You will thrive working in a fast-paced environment across a variety of projects.

- What is your experience contributing to HR system design or enhancement projects? How have you ensured your input addresses organisational requirements while maintaining the integrity of essential HR processes like payroll?
