Are you a highly-skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with a passion for automation, productivity, and cloud innovation? We have an exciting opportunity for you to work on a meaningful Digital Transformation project for one of our government clients based at Parramatta.

You’ll be working alongside a collaborative and forward-thinking team where your expertise in AWS, CI/CD, scripting, and DevOps best practices will be highly valued and continuously challenged.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and enhance DevOps capabilities across the team, contributing to a clear roadmap for continuous improvement.
Design and automate deployment pipelines, environment provisioning, and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Bamboo CI, AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy).
Ensure system stability, scalability, monitoring, and disaster recovery for production environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile setting to support innovation and sustainability.

Essential Skills

5–8 years' experience in systems administration and DevOps engineering.
Deep hands-on experience with AWS core services (IAM, VPC, EC2, RDS, Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, Route53, CloudFront, etc.).
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools.
Strong Docker experience for containerization and deployment.
Working knowledge of CI/CD and automated pipelines.
Scripting/coding skills in Python, Bash, or Java.
Familiarity with TCP/IP, networking, and security practices including DDoS mitigation and WAFs.
Experience supporting and operating serverless applications and AWS-native services.
Strong grasp of source control (preferably Git) and disaster recovery planning.
