About Us
The Joint Parliamentary Service Committee (JPSC) is a Standing Committee of the Parliament. It consists of the President of the Legislative Council, the Speaker of the House of Assembly and two Members from each House. The JPSC is responsible for the administration of the Joint Parliamentary Service (JPS) Divisions such as the Parliamentary Library Division, the Catering Division, Hansard, and the Joint Services Division (including Parliamentary Network Support Group, People and Culture, Finance and Building Services).
The Office of the Executive Officer is to oversee the strategic direction of Joint Parliamentary Service, including setting and executing organisational strategy, implementing improvement projects and changes, interacting with other leadership roles within the Parliament, and providing secretariat services to the JPSC and Management Advisory Committee (MAC).

About the Role
The Executive Support & Project Officer position resides within the Office of the Executive Officer in the Joint Parliamentary Service of the Parliament of South Australia.
The Executive Support & Project Officer is accountable to the Executive Officer, JPS to provide a broad range of administrative and project support for the JPSC and Office of the Executive Officer JPS. This includes provision of:
Effective secretariat support for the JPSC and Management Advisory Committee (MAC) including preparing meeting packs for Committee Members, correspondence and taking minutes of meetings,
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondences including providing quality assurance checks for responses to parliamentary committees, public sector agencies, non-government agencies and Members of Parliament.
Undertaking minor research and project work,
Diary management, identifying, monitoring and attending to urgent enquiries on behalf of the Executive Officer (as appropriate) to ensure effective issue resolution with relevant stakeholders,
Coordination activities, such as invoice payments and procurement support.
Special Conditions
This role has been classified as a position of trust. The incumbent is subject to a satisfactory criminal history / record check in line with Parliamentary policies and procedures.
The incumbent is required to:
hold a current driver’s licence and be prepared to drive to meet business requirements.
refrain from political activity or involvement in electoral affairs.
maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive client information.
Some intra/interstate travel involving overnight absences may be required.
The incumbent will be required to participate in the Parliament’s Performance Development Plan and achieve performance targets as negotiated and mutually agreed with the Executive Officer
The incumbent may be required to be assigned to other positions at the same remuneration level across the Parliament as required.
Remuneration
ASO4 ($75,430 - $79,070)
