We are looking for someone to help us manage some of the most precious and valuable water resources in the driest state in the driest inhabited continent.
These resources support regional communities, critical environment assets such as Ramsar wetlands and threatened species, First Nations culture, significant industries, and even the critical human water needs of a capital city!

12-month contract with high potential for extension.
We're looking for someone who can:
Understand, interpret, synthesise and clearly communicate a diverse range of water-related information and interests.
Understand and interpret legislation, policies and guidelines.
Engage and maintain effective working relationships with government agencies and key stakeholders, including First Nations.
Write clear and effective policy papers, briefings and community communications.
Plan, manage and deliver complex projects.
Work effectively as part of a small team.
Contribute to solving complex problems.
Manage competing interests and demands.
Understand surface water and groundwater resources and their management, particularly in the Murray-Darling Basin (highly desirable).
Manage and present at public events/workshops.
Use geographic information systems (desirable).
Essential Qualifications and Eligibility:
A tertiary qualification in hydrogeology, environmental science, natural resources management, public policy or related field is desirable.
Eligibility for this position requires a valid Australian working visa.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and DHS Working with Children Check.

The Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board is a statutory body with a focus on enhancing, conserving, and sustaining the landscapes of our impressively diverse region. Spanning vast natural environments and productive agricultural lands, our foremost focus is to collaborate with the region's communities across projects that empower people to be at the heart of landscape management.
Our teams work across projects to conserve native flora and fauna, manage pest plants and animals, and improve the health of the wetlands and floodplains along the River Murray. Our sustainable agriculture team works to drive on-farm productivity, while our engagement team collaborates with First Nations, young people, volunteers and citizen scientists to build the skills and capacity of our greatest asset – our people.
Frontline staff are supported by a dynamic team of professionals working behind the scenes in roles ranging from finance and governance through to communications, planning, information management, monitoring and evaluation, investment support and more, working as one team to deliver for our region.
The landscape board employs around 85 staff with offices located in Berri and Murray Bridge, with satellite sites in Lameroo, Cambrai, and Karoonda.
Remuneration:
Classification ASO6 $98,478 min - $104,165 max p.a.
