The Role
You’ll join our tight-knit team, preparing financial statements and income tax returns for all entity types, with a focus on serving our small to medium sized business clients across diverse sectors—particularly primary producers. You’ll work collaboratively to streamline processes and deliver exceptional client outcomes, leveraging modern software tools to drive efficiency.

Employment Type

Full-Time preferred (part-time will be considered ; minimum three days per week)

Hours flexible between 7.30 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday

Remuneration

To be negotiated subject to qualifications and experience (anticipated range $85,000–$110,000 p.a. plus super)

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review year-end financial statements and income tax returns across all entity types

Provide technical research and advice on accounting and taxation issues

Assist with BAS preparation and review, PAYG reporting and other compliance tasks

Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows using software tools

Essential Skills & Experience

Minimum 3–5 years post-qualification or equivalent industry experience in accounting or finance

Strong technical knowledge of Australian accounting standards and taxation legislation

Proven ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

High degree of self-sufficiency and attention to detail

Essential Software Proficiency

Xero & Xero Tax

Preferred Qualifications & Software Proficiency

Formal accounting qualification (CA, CPA, IPA or working towards)

Experience in public practice or corporate accounting environments

FYI Document Management

Active Workpapers (or similar electronic working paper systems)
