About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the vibrant team at Jam Corner as an Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager. Based in South Townsville QLD 4810, this is a full-time position that will see you play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the Restaurant & Bar Manager in managing all aspects of restaurant and bar operations

Overseeing staff, ensuring excellent customer service and a positive dining experience

Implementing and maintaining systems and processes to drive efficiency and productivity

Monitoring and optimizing inventory and stock levels

Participating in the roster and schedule management for the restaurant and bar teams

Providing mentorship and training to junior staff members

Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and licensing regulations

Contributing to the development and implementation of marketing and promotional initiatives

What we're looking for

Extensive experience in a similar Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager/Supervisor or equivalent role

Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent craft in Bar operation including wine knowledge and cocktails

Thorough understanding of food and beverage operations and financial management

Working knowledge of relevant health, safety and licensing regulations

Passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating a vibrant dining experience

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
