The Company

Whitefield Capital Management [WCM] is an established fund manager specialising in quantitatively based Australian equities strategies. WCM manages a range of wholesale funds including ASX listed entities and the investment operations of an associated insurer.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is a key part of the finance function, supporting accurate financial reporting, compliance with relevant standards, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

The role involves responsibility for the following areas:

Preparation of financial working papers, management reports and public reports for ASX listed and unlisted investment funds;

Ensuring compliance with Accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies;

Support the preparation of board/committee materials;

Liaison with external Auditors and service providers; and

Accounts payable processing.

What we're looking for

We would look for candidates that:

Have approx. 3 years’ experience in a similar financial accounting role or first mover from Big 4 / mid-tier accounting firm;

Have tertiary qualifications in Accounting;

CPA or CA qualification (or working toward) highly regarded;

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work;

Possess a strong sense of accountability and ownership; and

Experience in the wholesale investment and financial services arena is not a prerequisite but may be of assistance.
