• Financial Accountant | Permanent Full Time

• $115,000 - $125,000 + superannuation

The Company

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a technically strong and commercially astute Financial Accountant to join a rapidly growing and innovative financial services organisation. This role will suit a driven individual who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and contributing to the evolution of finance processes within a fast-paced, forward-thinking business.

The Position

As the Financial Accountant, you will be reporting into the Financial Controller and be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS
• Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
• Assist with regulatory reporting (APRA, ASIC, etc.) and tax compliance (BAS, FBT, income tax)
• Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives across financial reporting
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making
• Partner with stakeholders across finance, risk, and operations
• Oversee the AP & AR function
• Adhoc tasks as required and be actively involved with project within the team

About You

• CPA / CA Qualified
• Experience within the Financial Services industries desired but not essential
• Demonstrated experience with EOM close, reporting & compliance
• Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills
• Excel - Intermediate - demonstrated experience with high volume spreadsheets, reporting and reconciliations
• Systems savvy - ideally XERO but not essential
