Patrick's Bakery is located in the heart of Regents Park in Queensland and is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic team member to join our team!

About Us

We are a proudly local bakery, with a strong focus on providing high quality products, customer satisfaction and comradery and teamwork. Our strong growth and high staff retention rate are a testament to our positive and supportive work environment. Our staffed hours are from 5AM to 4:30PM.

The Role

As a team member, you'll play a vital role in day-to-day operations which will include opening or closing the store. Often you will be making high quality specialty coffee and beverages, and you will have set responsibilities requiring strong time management skills, as well as assisting with various kitchen hand duties, including:

- Cookie Production

- Sandwich making

- Kitchen cleaning

- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace

- Serving customers

Part of this role will focus on our cookie production and introduction of various new and exciting flavours. Our New York style cookies are quickly building a reputation as some of the best on offer. Given their increasing popularity, we require someone with the requisite cooking skills to take our cookie production and growth of this category to the next level! There will be other cooking required from time to time (including for example muffins and soups). You will be provided with training however some prior experience and a culinary interest will be highly desirable.

What We're Looking For

- You must have a valid driver's licence and own transport

- You must have 2+ years' relevant experience as a barista working in a high-volume environment

- Previous experience in a bakery, hospitality, or retail environment is desirable

- Ability to manage time and communicate priorities/work efficiently and effectively in an often fast-paced environment

- Excellent attention to detail and quality control

- Excellent knowledge of relevant food health safety standards

- This is a customer facing position, as such, all applicants must be fluent in English.

Your availability

- We are looking for someone with full availability to work, including early mornings (often from 5:00AM) as well as availability to work weekends and public holidays.

- If you are unavailable to work weekends, unfortunately this role is not suitable for you.
