About the role
As the Nurse Unit Manager, Nuclear Medicine, you will provide expert leadership and coordination of patient care across SA Medical Imaging’s Nuclear Medicine services. Drawing on your advanced clinical knowledge and experience, you will manage and guide nursing teams to ensure continuity and excellence in patient care, aligned with SA Health’s quality framework. This role will oversee nursing practice standards and expectations across five sites – RAH, QEH, FMC, WCH, and LMH – while working collaboratively with site based Radiology Nurse Unit Managers for day to day operational support
You will play a pivotal role in establishing nursing roles and responsibilities to support the expansion of PET services at QEH and FMC. With accountability for clinical outcomes, workforce development, and resource management, you will foster a positive, high-performing team culture and an environment conducive to learning. This is a unique opportunity to shape nursing practice in a specialised field and contribute to innovative patient care delivery across multiple locations.
About You
You are an experienced nursing leader with a passion for innovation and delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across multidisciplinary teams.
Current registration (or eligibility) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a minimum of 3 years post-registration nursing experience.
Proven leadership and management skills, with expertise in team development, change management, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Strong clinical knowledge in Nuclear Medicine, Medical Imaging, or related nursing practice, with experience supervising and mentoring staff.
Comprehensive understanding of healthcare standards, legislation, and contemporary nursing issues, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
