WORKS ADMINISTRATION OFFICER - PART TIME
Location: Bencubbin, WA.
Classification: Local Government Industry Award 2020 – Level 4 to 5.
$53,676.65 - $57,039.57 pa pro rata + Superannuation
(dependent on qualifications and experience)
Permanent Part Time - Monday to Friday (flexible) (48hrs per fortnight)
About the Role:
The Works Admin Officer position provides general and clerical, administrative support and customer service as directed by the Works Supervisor to assist in fulfilling the requirements of the Engineering/Works Department.
Requirements of the role include:
· Provide general administration support to the Engineering/Works Department.
· Provide administrative support, including word processing, data entry, report writing, correspondence, records management and development of standard operating procedures.
· Undertake financial support for the Department in seeking quotes, writing purchase orders and tracking budgets.
· Provide customer service to internal and external customers.
· Analyse invoices, supply rates, costs allocation and contract terms and conditions to achieve best financial outcomes for Council.
· Provide timely and effective clerical and administrative support to other staff.
· Support and promote a positive and cooperative team environment, which fosters creative problem solving and shared learning.
· Oversee administrative duties relating to service requests within the Department
· Assist with the management of Council contractors who are engaged to undertake work.
· Assist in the effective management of Council facility hires, including key management, ingoing and outgoing inspections, contractor engagement for works etc.
· Input data, records and information to current systems and programs that provide integrity to Council’s processes and service delivery in an accurate and timely manner.

You will have current relevant experience working in an administrative role, local government experience will be highly regarded. The role requires excellent interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines. You will possess good problem-solving skills and initiative and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
