We are a well-established and growing construction and property development company based in Sydney, seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team.

This role is critical to our operations, requiring a strong background in managing multiple entities within the property development space, alongside handling company accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Preparation of group financial statements including consolidation of multiple entities and compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Overseeing AP, AR, BAS, and general ledger activities.

Coordinate year-end reporting and liaise with external tax accountants.

Oversight of the group treasury function, cash flow and working capital management.

Oversee and authorise weekly and monthly payroll processing.

Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.

Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

Drive continuous improvement in financial internal controls and processes to ensure compliance and best practices.​

Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar financial accounting role within construction and/or property development.

Strong understanding of accounting principles relating to multiple entities and inter-company transactions.

Experience working with project-based accounting, WIP reporting, and cost control.

Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Experience with construction software Jobpac is desirable but not required.

Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

CPA/CA qualified or working towards qualification.
