Pharmaceutical Territory Product Specialist – Inner/Outer West + North of Sydney and Newcastle
The Company
Lawley Pharmaceuticals is a privately owned Australian pharmaceutical company specializing in the transdermal administration of naturally occurring hormones, including testosterone. Founded in 1995, Lawley Pharmaceuticals has become a world leader in the research and development of topical hormone creams. In women's health, Lawley is dedicated to expanding hormone options for menopausal management. Additionally, the company aims to revolutionise men’s health options in a cost-effective manner. We collaborate with our manufacturing partners in Australia. Lawley is growing rapidly and requires a second product specialist in Sydney.
The Role
As a Territory Product Specialist, you will be provided with all the necessary tools, resources, and knowledge to achieve business targets through the implementation of sales and marketing strategies. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and have access to their own car for transportation to and from job sites. This role will initially start at 24-32 hours per week, with flexibility in work hours for the right person. Occasional weekend conferences are a vital part of this role, and candidates must be willing and available to attend as needed.
Technology
Strong technology proficiency is essential, with regular use of Microsoft Outlook and associated apps, Zoho CRM tools, and Xero. Candidates should be confident working across multiple software systems to manage communications, customer data, and financial tasks.
Responsibilities:
Develop and support existing medical professionals and seek out others with a strong interest in hormonal treatments (utilising available target lists).
Target professionals include Endocrinologists, Urologists, Gynaecologists, Sexual Health Physicians, and targeted GPs.
Understand customer needs and tailor business strategies to meet those needs while managing customer relationships and business through our CRM.
The role includes organising and project managing events and sponsorship opportunities, requiring strong coordination and stakeholder management.
Maintain a strong level of computer and communication skills.
This role is available for an immediate start with flexible commencement.
The Territory
The territory is extensive and includes Inner/Outer West, North & West, Central Coast and Newcastle. Living in Sydney on territory is a must. Some additional travel may be involved as Lawley has a strong presence at medical seminars and conferences.
The Person
With at least 8 years of selling experience in the pharmaceutical industry, you should have a good understanding of the pharmaceutical market and be capable of communicating well with medical professionals. Pharmaceutical sales demand proficiency in clinical data and oversight, with effective communication of medical terminology being crucial. A degree in business or relevant life sciences and business experience would be beneficial for this role. You should be able to demonstrate achievements in pharmaceutical or allied health sales, with the ability to manage a territory, including targeting, profiling, and managing customers while meeting your KPIs. The position will heavily emphasize post-menopause and sexual health, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable discussing both subjects.
Lawley is seeking individuals who thrive in an autonomous work environment, are highly self-motivated, and demonstrate a strong capacity for self-learning. Proficiency in technology literacy is essential including experience using a CRM, and the ability to continuously upskill oneself to stay current in the rapidly evolving landscape is a key requirement for this role. Additionally, candidates should be adaptable to small business requirements and growth, ensuring they can flexibly respond to changing needs and opportunities. Your energetic and goal-oriented personality will allow you to become a strong player within the company.
