About Bankstown Women’s Health Centre
Bankstown Women’s Health Centre (BWHC) has been delivering quality, accessible health and wellbeing services to women across the Bankstown and Canterbury Local Government Areas for almost 50 years. We are a non-government, not-for-profit, multidisciplinary and holistic health service run by women for women.
BWHC offers a wide range of client-centered, evidence-based, primary and preventative health care services and programs that aim to improve the overall health and wellbeing of women in the local community, with a particular focus on migrant, refugee and disadvantaged populations.
We operate from a feminist and trauma-informed perspective, guided by the social model of health, where our services are grounded in the principles of social justice, equity, and a gendered understanding of health and wellbeing.
