The Accommodation Program Coordinator plays a crucial role in DVPC’s provision of safe emergency accommodation for women and children escaping domestic and family violence. This position is responsible for building, nurturing and managing strong partnerships with hotel and motel providers to ensure the availability and quality of crisis accommodation options. As the primary point of contact for accommodation partners, the role ensures clear communication, timely issue resolution and a positive, professional relationship between DVPC and accommodation providers.

Have you worked in Hotel sales? Have you worked as a Front Office Receptionist, Manager or Duty Manager and thrived in a fast paced high demand role, this unique opportunity could be for you. Proven experience building relationships across multiple stakeholders which showcase your ability to influence and negotiate successful temporary accommodation for women in crisis is essential to be successful in this critical role.
Experience working in the domestic and family violence, homelessness or related sectors would be an advantage.

You are required to have a current drivers licence - outreach to accommodation sites across the Gold Coast region is an essential part of this role.
About the role
The Accommodation Program Coordinator will support women who have experienced domestic and family violence by sourcing emergency accommodation. Building and maintaining excellent relationships with local accommodation providers is a key success factor.
Other key factors include and not limited to:
Strong attention to detail and maintenance of accurate records
The ability to maintain confidentiality and show absolute discretion for all client information
Support accommodation employees to understand the needs and sensitivities of women and children experiencing domestic and family violence
Provide timely updates to internal teams about accommodation availability, issues or changes
Respond promptly to any concerns or incidents raised by accommodation providers or clients, working collaboratively to find resolutions
Track usage, vacancy trends, service quality and contribute to reporting and consistent evaluation of the Accommodation Program
This is a full-time (36.25hrs/week) role. 1 Year fixed term contract

Salary
SCHADS Award SACS Level 5
The pay point will be determined by the successful applicant's experience and qualifications.
A 1 year fixed term contract will be offered.

The Domestic Violence Prevention Centre (DVPC) is a specialist service which supports women, children and young people who have experienced domestic and family violence. We also deliver the Men's DV Education and Intervention program and convene an Integrated Response group that works with agencies on the Gold Coast to improve collaboration and responses to victim survivors of domestic and family violence to enhance their safety and wellbeing.
