Opportunity to join the Bold Park Community in a unique Co-Educator role
Fixed Term Contract Full-time 1.0FTE): 6 months (with the possibility of extension).
Hours: 8.00am - 4.00pm (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
8.00am - 5.00pm (Wednesday)
Bold Park Community School is an independent school, with a philosophy based on the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach, which caters for students from Playgroup to Year 12. We currently have an opportunity for a full time Co-Educator to join our Primary team for a 6 month fixed term contract, commencing as soon as possible.
Job Overview:
To support the lead teacher by providing motivation, care and direction to empower our young people so they can get the most out of their schooling.
This role is perfect for a Co-Educator who enjoys working in a close-knit school community. You will collaborate with passionate colleagues to inspire and support students as they explore meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
As part of our team, you will:
Support students to engage in the classroom and build resilience, confidence and skills.
Support the Lead Teacher in maintaining a respectful, positive and cohesive learning environment
Contribute skill and experience with working with students with diverse learning needs within the classroom
Contribute to the development of interdisciplinary and creative learning experiences alongside other educators in and out of the classroom.
Essential:
Minimum Certificate III in Education Support (or equivalent).
Classroom experience in early learning literacy and mathematics.
Current National Police Clearance or the Education Department's Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC).
Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
Thrive in a collaborative environment where student and staff voices are valued.
Desirable:
Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia approach or experience working in a social constructivist educational environment.
Experience working with diversity in an education setting.
Experience in interdisciplinary classrooms and project based learning.
