About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sous-Chef to join our dynamic team in a FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) capacity. This role is ideal for a passionate culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality meals across a variety of cuisines.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and execute high-standard breakfast and dinner services on alternating weekly rotations

· Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen, adhering to strict food safety protocols

· Prepare and present buffet-style meals to meet daily service requirements

Prepare and present buffet-style meals for up to 200 personnel per service

· Work independently and unsupervised while maintaining consistency and attention to detail

· Ensure kitchen operations run smoothly under pressure and meet all time-sensitive requirements

What We're Looking For:

· Apprenticeship in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

· Food Safety Handling Certificate or equivalent

Current Food Safety Handling Certificate (issued within last 3 years)

· Minimum 5 years post-apprenticeship experience

· Proven FIFO or remote camp cooking experience highly regarded

· Solid understanding of food safety standards and HACCP procedures

· Strong skills in time management, multitasking, and kitchen operations

· Ability to produce meals across multiple cuisines to suit varied client preferences

Full Australian work rights and ability to pass mining site security clearances

Demonstrated experience in inventory management and stock control systems
