Based in Legana Tasmania, Marshall Machinery delivers leading crop protecting and time-saving solutions to Agricultural Businesses in Tasmania and beyond. Marshall Machinery specialises in Harvesters, Frost Fans, Tractors, Spraying, Pruning, and Various Other Equipment for the wine and fruit growing industries.

Given the continued growth in these sectors, Marshall Machinery is seeking an additional experienced, hands-on mechanic to join the technical team. The successful applicant will have a passion for learning new products and providing first-class technical support to a wide customer base.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role will be based at Marshall’s facility in Legana, along with on-site servicing and emergency callouts to customers that will require working away from time to time. Call out rates and overtime are fully paid for all off-site work, as well as your living away expenses.

You will be working alongside some of Tasmania's finest vineyards and orchards as part of the Marshall workshop and service team.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be a key member of the team to provide excellent customer service with training, mentoring, and a down-to-earth management culture. You may also be involved in the company’s development of its own range of unique agricultural machines which are geared for worldwide export.

SELECTION CRITERIA

• Ability to consistently service, diagnose and repair machinery and equipment.
• Ability to work well in a team and autonomously.
• Ability to use initiative and think on your feet when working off site.
• You will either have direct experience in the service and repairs of a range of agricultural machinery or skills in relevant diesel, hydraulic or electronic machinery systems.
• Current Drivers Licence.
• A pre-employment medical check is compulsory.
