We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer who thrives at the intersection of creativity and functionality. In this pivotal role, you’ll help shape the digital experience for millions of Australians by designing intuitive, visually compelling interfaces across News.com.au’s platforms.

This is more than just a design gig — it’s an opportunity to influence one of the country’s most visited news sites. You'll bring strong UI design skills, a deep understanding of UX principles, and a passion for human-centred design. From wireframes to polished visuals, you’ll take ideas from concept to execution, collaborating closely with product, editorial, and development teams to bring stories to life in a seamless, engaging way.

In this role you will:

• Design clean, intuitive, and engaging user interfaces across web, mobile, and app platforms that captivate millions of users.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs in Figma, bringing ideas to life with precision and creativity.
• Apply UX best practices to ensure seamless user journeys that balance usability with visual impact.
• Work within and contribute to our design system to maintain consistency, scalability, and brand integrity across products.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and editorial teams to align design outcomes with business goals.

Who are you?

• A seasoned UX/UI Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing clean, user-focused digital design across web and mobile.
• Highly proficient in Figma, with experience creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished final designs.
• Confident working with design systems and maintaining visual consistency across multiple products and platforms.
• A strong communicator and collaborator, comfortable presenting ideas and working closely with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and passionate about creating intuitive, beautiful digital experiences that put the user first.
