Selection Criteria:

· Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA

· Completed a post graduate qualification in mental health nursing

· A minimum of 12-24 months mental health experience in a mental health clinical setting inpatient and/or community-based setting

· Demonstrated understanding of working with mental health consumers, including appropriate supports, therapeutic engagement, assessment and evidence-based interventions

· Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2022

· Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work a 7 day a week rotating roster (AM, PM & Nights)

· Must be able to commit to a minimum of 5 shifts per fortnight

· Willing to work across all Western Health campuses

offering women who are experiencing severe mental ill health a trauma-informed and recovery-focused individually tailored experience to care.

The Sunshine Mental Health and Wellbeing Centre is a multi-storey facility with two Mental Health Adult Acute Units, each comprising of 26 beds across Intensive Care Area, Medium Care Area and General Care Area.
