About the Role and Whiz Kidz:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Educator for our Toddler room to join our team at our brand-new, purpose-built Sydenham centre. As the Lead Educator for our 2–3 year olds, you’ll guide a team of dedicated educators and create a warm, engaging environment that supports toddlers as they begin their journey of independence, learning, and discovery.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

Designing and implementing age-appropriate, play-based programs aligned with the EYLF

Leading and mentoring your team to create a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive space for toddlers

Supporting children’s emerging independence through self-help routines (mealtimes, toileting, dressing)

Building genuine, respectful relationships with children and families

Maintaining documentation such as observations, learning stories, assessments and daily updates via the Playground Xplor App

Ensuring your room meets all NQS and compliance standards

Contributing to a culture of reflective practice, collaboration and professional growth

What We’re Looking For:

A Diploma in Early Education and Care (ACECQA recognised)

Minimum 2 years of experience working with toddlers, ideally in a leadership capacity

Strong knowledge of child development, curriculum planning and early learning pedagogy

Confident in leadership and mentoring, with a warm and professional presence.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with families, colleagues and children

A calm, warm and professional presence

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training, Child Protection training and WWCC
