About the Role:
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Service Manager & Educational Leader to join our leadership team. This dual-role opportunity is ideal for an early childhood professional ready to take the next step in leading both the curriculum and the day-to-day operations of the service.

Working closely with the Centre Director, you will support compliance, lead educational programs, mentor educators, and ensure smooth and effective centre operations when the Director is away.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor educators to create an engaging, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

Step up as Responsible Person and assist in centre operations in the Director’s absence.

Drive educational excellence through intentional teaching and reflective practices.

Support all elements of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).

Build meaningful partnerships with families and promote strong community connections.

Lead the development of a responsive curriculum that reflects children’s voices, identities, and cultures.

Ensure all programming, documentation, and assessments meet QA1 and NQS standards.

Assist with rostering, staffing, and regulatory compliance.

What You’ll Bring:

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved).

Previous leadership experience in an Early Learning setting (preferred).

Experience in leading or supporting a service through Assessment & Rating is highly regarded.

Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and best practice compliance.

Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.

A genuine passion for mentoring and supporting others

Mandatory Requirements:

Current Working with Children Check (Employee – VIC).

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates.

Child Protection / Mandatory Reporting training.
