HAYS is looking for someone who is looking to work, has a good work ethic, and is local to the Port Augusta area. Our client assists in providing regional health services and is needing a facilities tradesperson to join their team, starting ASAP.

Your new role

The role of the Facility Tradesman is to provide first response to service requests and deliver on-site planned maintenance.
Duties may include:

- Supporting the Facility Leader in the service delivery of all on-site building facility services
- Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the site in a way that achieves excellent customer satisfaction, is contractually compliant and that avoids penalties and abatements
- Liaising directly with customers and subcontractors and providing support in adhering to financial budgets and operational goals of the contract.
- Managing reactive and planned maintenance activities, including contractor management.
- Actively participating in an on-call rotation roster.

- Following established site processes in a compliant manner.
- Implementing environmental policies and procedures, minimising resource waste, and actively participating in initiatives that reduce environmental impact.
- Providing excellent customer service.

What you'll need to succeed

Successful applicants will be able to work as a part of a team, have good time management and have previous experience in facilities or a relevant trade.

Non-negotiable requirements:
- Obtain a National Police Check and undertake a pre-employment medical / D&A - Strong communication skills - written and verbal - Understanding of safety processes
- Self-motivated
- Port Augusta Local (or within reasonable commuting distance)
- Be willing to be on call (1 week every 3 weeks)

Not required but highly desirable:

- Previous Facility Maintenance Experience
- Trade qualification (desirable)
