Priestley's Gourmet Delights are seeking a motivated and passionate Financial Analyst to Join our Team. This position is responsible for supporting the financial planning and analysis functions of the organisation. This role involves analysing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to help drive strategic decision-making and improve financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis.

Support accurate monthly financial reports; such as preparing performance commentary, processing monthly journals, conducting accrual analysis, and providing insights on sales and expense performance to respective divisions

Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organisational goals.

Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and providing actionable insights.

Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.

Analyse costs and expenses to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Maintain and update Bill of Materials, financial models, databases, and systems to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Suggest improvements to procedures, systems, and processes to increase efficiency and ensure integrity of the company.

Function as a key advisor to senior management on financial matters, providing actionable recommendations to improve profitability, efficiency, and financial decision-making.

Assist the Finance Team as required to support the overall objectives of the Finance Department and the wider Organisation.

About You:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

Professional certification (e.g. CPA or CA) preferred.

Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related field. Experience in a similar industry or in manufacturing is advantageous.

Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to interpret complex financial data.

Proficient in financial modelling, accounting software, and the Microsoft Office suite, particularly advanced MS Excel skills including Power Query
