The Role

As the 4 Squadron Security Manager, you will work with a dedicated and motivated team to ensure the security posture of an active, dynamic military unit is maintained. Operational teams will rely on your information assurance and ability to provide a high security environment. Using dedicated systems, processes and procedures, you will be responsible for the security of some of Australia’s most advanced Royal Australian Air Force inventory and missions. The crew will rely on your information assurance to plan, prepare and execute their missions. Your role will have key outputs to ensure that the facilities, communications, personal and Special Access security environment aspects remain accredited, secure and fit for purpose.

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. 4 Squadron is responsible for the force generation and operational employment of Air Mission Teams that include Joint Terminal Attack Controllers, Forward Air Controllers (Airborne), Mission Specialists and Combat Controllers. Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a collaborator who will work alongside a highly motivated team to ensure the best outcome for 4 Squadron facilities, communications, personnel and Special Access security and information assurance which, when maintained, will facilitate the conduct of routine and operational missions.

You will be working in a primarily uniformed workforce and across all levels of the organisation from the Commander to the aviators. You should be able to work with limited guidance, interpret high level policy and advice and ensure that procedures are followed across the organisation to maintain the high level integrity of the unit security.
