About the role
The position will be responsible for the operational oversight of the suite of Care Services and Cultural Programs within Eastern VACCA including staff, budget, liaison and partnerships with departments, compliance and administration. This position is there to support and oversee the services delivery of Care Services and Cultural Programs. A key function is to ensure that these programs are coordinated and managed in a manner which provides the best possible platform for the delivery of effective, quality, and timely responses. The Senior Program Manager role includes achieving all funding targets, reporting and ensures compliance requirements are fully met.
About You
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose and the capacity to take a leadership role in championing these internally and externally
- Demonstrated awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures, and commitment to continually build knowledge of such, along with a high level of awareness of the key issues which impact upon Aboriginal communities.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the delivery of statutory Care Services, including therapeutic approaches required to bring about better outcomes for at risk and vulnerable Aboriginal children and families.
- Demonstrated knowledge and capability to ensure service delivery is culturally safe and enhances cultural connection for vulnerable children, young people and their families.
- Strong leadership experience in successfully developing, managing and motivating a team.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of case management, care team approaches, financial brokerage management and service delivery across a diverse range of programs
- Demonstrated experience in, program implementation, service planning including monitoring, evaluation and maintenance of standards.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational abilities including the capacity to negotiate and work effectively with a range of individuals and organisations to achieve organisational and program objectives.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with Aboriginal organisations and workers and key stakeholders.
- Strong ability to work under pressure, to demonstrate professional judgement in decision making and high-level risk assessments.
- Requirements: Qualifications in Social Work or Community Services, Leadership experience withing the Community Services sector, valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
