A Sterile Compounding Laboratory technician position is available at Complementary Compounding Pharmacy. We are a specialist compounding pharmacy located in Ballina which is a coastal town in the Ballina-Byron area, Northern NSW, 1 hour from the Queensland border. We are a sterile and non-sterile compounding pharmacy that provides personalized custom medicines to our patients. Our work must be accurate and efficient in order to achieve the high level of quality and service we offer.

As a Sterile Compounding Technician, you will be involved in the preparation of sterile compounded medicines such as injections, nasal sprays, intradermal pellets and eye drops in a sterile clean room. Prior experience in sterile compounding is desirable but not essential for the right applicant. Ongoing training will be provided on the job.

The most important thing that will make you successful for this role is your ability to learn, attention to detail, motivation, ability to focus on the job at hand, and working independently. You will be working in a sterile clean room with the senior sterile lab technician so will have little contact with other staff throughout the day, so this position may not suit you if you prefer lots of social contact.

It is a casual position with 38 hours work per week (pharmacy is open from 9am to 5pm Mon-Thu and 9am to 3pm on Fridays). We are closed weekends and public holidays which gives you time to enjoy the coastal lifestyle the Ballina-Byron region offers.
