The Shamrock Hotel is a busy local’s venue with quintessential Australian offerings with an Irish flair. The freshest food, the coldest beer and outstanding service. The hotel consists of a back public bar, 60-seater bistro, 20-seater private dining room, 100-seater function space plus outdoor eating areas.
The Pub caters for the local residents and professionals of Kyneton with a large tourist contingency. It has a typical Pub atmosphere of Footy on the big screens and racing in the back bar. Groups of diners in the bistro and a revolving door of functions.
The Responsibilities of this position would be to work the day-to-day operations of the Hotel Bookings, keeping it consistent with order. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail checking stock, customer service and training. The candidate will have a love of hospitality with a dynamic personality. no gaming is required. However, the Hotel has recently superbly renovated 11 rooms to accommodate travelers and knowledge of any software would be beneficial.

The current business has an Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS) approval and is willing to sponsor the correct candidate. The Hotel management offers strong hands on support when running all assets of a Hotel. The current staff have been employed within the other various hotels between 5 -10 years, including chefs. The support is invaluable. All staff know all areas of the venue and offer relief when necessary. A roster can be discussed in an interview due to flexibility.
This position is for an energetic person with a passion for hospitality. The venue is in need of staff with a great sense of humour. Expectations are high. However, overall, a great place to work.

With an already energetic team, we are looking for an extra set of hands with professional skills The hotel has a local crowd that frequent the hotel on a daily basis. Plus, a restaurant with continual repeat business. We are a family business that offer a personal hospitable service.
Job tasks and responsibilities
This position is a FOH position. We are expecting the successful applicant to be flexible with work hours and are more than flexible ourselves. The applicant must be responsible for the Bar when working and communicate any issues with following staff after the shift. Stock and discrepancies must be reported. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for the closure of the Venue 2 nights. The most important part of the job is to have an easy personality with a great sense of humour.
Skills and experience
Due to the nature of the business, this position requires the applicant to be extremely skilled with Cellar duties and Bar knowledge. The applicant must have skills on POS systems and PC knowledge.
