About the Role:

As Duty Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the venue’s daily operations — leading by example, supporting the team, and ensuring every shift runs like clockwork. You’ll help maintain The Royal’s high service standards while creating a positive environment for both our team and our guests.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

Help overseeing daily venue operations to ensure smooth and efficient service

Supervising and supporting front-of-house and bar teams during service

Managing opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reconciliation

Handling guest inquiries, complaints, and incidents with professionalism

Ensuring RSA and licensing compliance at all times

Coordinating staff breaks and managing shift transitions

Maintaining cleanliness and safety across the venue

Support training and development of new staff members

Liaising between bar and kitchen to ensure a seamless service

Reporting any noticed maintenance issues

Assisting with in-venue promotions and events

Receiving and checking off stock deliveries

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in a similar supervisory or management role

A current RSA certificate (and preferably First Aid)

Confident leadership with strong communication skills

Calm, solutions-focused mindset during busy periods

A genuine love for hospitality and great service

Availability for evenings, weekends, and public holidays
