About the role

This employer is inviting people with construction experience to join the company as part of an experienced renowned team. Rigging experience and qualifications are very good, but they are not essential. Our company will teach you high-skill mechanical rigging in the greater Sydney area as you work. We will train you to move large and delicate items through internal spaces using a variety of equipment and you will be rewarded with even higher rates of pay as you grow your experience and skills. Mechanical rigging

We perform work that very few companies in Australia can do. We are experts at moving very heavy loads, very delicate loads and loads with unusual shapes through almost any space. This involves using equipment in specialised ways and a lot of coordination with an experienced team.

The dogging and rigging High Risk Work Licences are not enough for the specialised skills that we use, but they will help you rise in the company faster. Other trade qualifications are also beneficial, including metal engineering, welding, carpentry, bricklaying, refrigeration, mechanic, shop-fitting et cetera but these are not essential.

Competitive Pay

We offer one of the highest base rates in the industry for our skilled riggers, and we also provide productivity allowances to workers who prove to be reliable. If you are a good fit for the role and build the skills that we need, we can offer full-time positions with higher weekly pay.

Duties:

· Moving loads on skates and general basic building work.

· Qualified Riggers: rigging and securing loads with the assistance of a qualified experienced rigger.

· Drive to sites across Cumberland County (surrounding Greater Sydney)

· Adhere to all lift plans & site safety procedures.

You must have:

· The right to work in Australia.

· Construction experience

· A Construction Industry White Card from NSW, VIC, SA, NT, TAS or ACT (no QLD or WA). If you have the wrong kind of card, you can take the NSW course in one day before starting work.

· Any current Driver’s Licence

· Experience working in a team with clear communication skills

We employ people with diverse backgrounds and circumstances. We will run a police check for new employees, but we care more about your current attitude, behaviour and reliability than your history.

We would be impressed if you have (optional):

· Rigging experience

· Basic Rigging, Intermediate Rigging, or Advanced Rigging tickets

· Any Trade qualification
